Molly Woodcock in Year 8 had some wonderful news to share with us this week about her winning a winter writing competition!
Molly entered the competition last lockdown after one of her friends mentioned it to her because they know that Molly enjoys writing. Molly entered the competition just for fun but she got an email just before the Christmas holidays telling her that she had been shortlisted and on Friday the 18th of January she got an email telling her that she had won in in the 11-15yrs category. The competition was run by the British Youth Music Theatre and her story is called “The Lonely Snow Globe Snowman”.
Her story was then read out by the author Tony Macaulay on Christmas Eve. The YouTube clip is available below for you to watch, so find a spare 5 minutes, make a cup of tea and sit down to listen to her wonderful story below.
Well done, Molly! This is a fantastic achievement and we are very proud of you!
