Ms Newman and 6 other members of The Stanway Schools (not so secret) secret sewing society made 40 pillowcase size scrub bags in a little over 3 hours.
We decided as a team to see if small local care providers needed them, and within an hour we had a request from a group in Stanway. They were over the moon with their delivery.
We have more care homes now interested, so we have decided to do it all again.
An incredible amount of donations have been left at school this week to which we are immensely grateful.
Today we continued with our efforts. Making 90 scrub bags and over 30 headbands. An amazing effort from all involved as the team has now grown by 8 more so the production line was definitely in full swing today, social distancing considered at all times.
